To use Gerad as a shipper, you must be legally permitted to arrange, tender, or authorize the transport of the cargo you post on the platform. If you act for a company, organization, or another principal, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to shipment instructions, pricing, dispute outcomes, and these shipper terms.
You must provide complete and accurate shipment information, including cargo type, quantity, weight, dimensions, pickup and delivery locations, contact persons, timing expectations, declared value where required, and any special handling instructions. Inaccurate or misleading shipment details may delay matching, affect pricing, lead to disputes, or result in suspension.
You must not post unlawful, undeclared, stolen, prohibited, or improperly packaged cargo on the platform. Dangerous goods, highly regulated goods, oversized goods, sensitive perishables, cash-like items, weapons, or restricted materials may only be shipped if all legal disclosures, packaging rules, permits, and approvals have been satisfied and the shipment is explicitly supported by the platform.
You are responsible for ensuring that cargo is ready for pickup at the scheduled time, that the pickup site is reasonably accessible, and that loading arrangements are clear. Unless otherwise stated, you remain responsible for packaging, labeling, securing loose cargo for loading, and communicating site-specific requirements such as gate access, loading crews, waiting rules, or documentation needed at pickup.
All shipment payments on Gerad must be completed digitally through approved platform channels before the driver proceeds to pickup. Gerad does not permit cash settlement for platform shipments. Funds may be held in escrow until delivery is confirmed or until the applicable dispute window has passed. Payment provider availability, processing windows, and verification checks may affect settlement timing.
A posted shipment may remain open for driver reservation until a qualified driver is matched and platform conditions for activation are met. Gerad may support reservation, driver review, counter-offers, and approval workflows depending on the product flow and account type. Posting a shipment does not guarantee immediate acceptance, driver availability, or a specific response time.
You are responsible for providing correct receiver details and ensuring the consignee or receiving contact is prepared to accept delivery. Delivery may be confirmed through in-app status, OTP or confirmation code, signature-equivalent confirmation, delivery photos, receiver acknowledgment, or another platform-approved proof of delivery method. Failure by your receiver to respond or be available may cause delay fees, trip complications, or dispute review.
If you believe cargo was damaged, mishandled, not delivered as agreed, or materially misrepresented during transport, you must file a dispute within the platform’s stated review window. Gerad may review platform messages, route data, driver updates, proofs of delivery, uploaded documents, and payment records before issuing a decision. Delayed or unsupported claims may be denied.
If you cancel before a driver is reserved or assigned, no driver-side operational charge may apply. If you cancel after driver reservation, assignment, dispatch, or confirmed mobilization, cancellation fees or deductions may apply depending on the stage of fulfillment and costs already incurred. You remain responsible for any lawful taxes, declarations, permits, or supporting documents tied to your cargo.
You agree not to use the platform for fraud, off-platform cash arrangements, unlawful trade, harassment, false claims, or regulatory evasion. You will indemnify and hold Gerad harmless to the extent permitted by law for losses arising from your unlawful cargo, inaccurate declarations, lack of authority to ship, missing permits, or breach of these shipper terms.
Gerad may suspend shipment posting, restrict payment or wallet usage, request additional verification, or terminate shipper access where risk, fraud, legal non-compliance, repeated disputes, payment abuse, or policy violations are identified. These measures may be temporary or permanent depending on severity and platform risk.
